HIIT Training
A HIIT workout offers a fun and convenient way for people to exercise efficiently, and it’s a great way to build your gym community and increase retention. There’s so much variation available with this particular type of workout that there’s something to suit everyone. Now let’s break down the three main appeals of HIIT classes.
HIIT training combines bursts of intense exercises with short, low-intensity recovery periods. This usually involves different aspect of aerobic exercise and resistance training. We vary the workouts to keep things interesting as you don’t want every session to be the same moves with the same equipment; boredom will creep in, and motivation drops when class becomes predictable. We make sure you have a range of gym equipment and machines you can alternate between to keep things engaging.
Efficient Calorie burn
HIIT training is said to burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. One medical study compared the calories burned through minutes of difference exercise routines, running, weight, training, cycling, and HIIT. Results showed that HIIT training burned between 20% and 30% more calories than the other forms of exercise
Weight-Loss
Because it combines cardio with strength training, HIIT burns fat and builds muscle. One study found that by completing three HIIT workouts a week for 20 minutes, participants lost 2 kg of body fat. They hadn’t made any changes to their diet, and so these results came entirely from the HIIT workout.
Accessible Exercise
People who are new to exercise can often find going to the gym intimidating. One of the main advantages of a group HIIT class is that they are customisable. Often, instructors will tailor moves if a member is struggling, or if it’s their first time. By changing the intervals, intensity, or movement, classes are a welcoming environment for all fitness levels.

It took me 42 years to find a gym that I was comfortable in, that worked for me, that showed results and above all, one that I felt part of and not self-conscious but instead motivated and ready for more. I like to quietly call Denya the “Undercover Beast” as when demonstrating the workouts Neil puts together every day, she has the widest smile and makes them look so easy, until I do them myself and but when I’m feeling that burn, she comes along to boost me up with her encouraging words and fill on attention. If there is one thing I have learnt most from them it is technique. Technique is imperative and with it being my first time working with weights, kettle bells and other gym equipment, both of them have been hands on and have made sure I, along with the other peeps who are training, get our right technique. When doing my team work outs every 2nd morning during the week, Neil, “Mr Hawk Eyes” will spot from the other side of the gym if my technique is wrong and point it out whilst Denya is working on another person. The team effort between the two of them is incredible. The positive vibe they have exudes and flows into the gym. I have never enjoyed gym before, but from day one I was hooked. It almost feels like my second home. Not only do I now feel the healthiest I ever have in my entire life but I’ve made so many wonderful and true friends through working out with them and have ended up getting far more than I asked for. Such an extraordinary gift
